This activity asks students to complete six different types of figurative language sentences two different ways.
For each type of figurative language students will complete sentences by either adding the beginning to a sentence or the ending of a sentence.
Take personification for example. Students are asked to add the beginning to the following sentence:
"Howled in the night"
An acceptable answer could be "The dog, the wolf, the wind" etc...
Students are also asked to add the ending to the following sentence:
An acceptable answer could be "Raced through the woods, ran out of control, roared to life"
