Complex Numbers Scavenger Hunt (All Operations)
This scavenger hunt activity consists of 24 problems in which students practice simplifying, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing complex numbers. For division, students must be able to rationalize the denominator, which includes multiplying by the conjugate. This activity was written for an Algebra 2 level class.
Simply print the 24 problems and scatter around the room (and in the hallway if possible), give each student a recording worksheet, group students, and assign them a place to start. The answer they get will lead them to their next problem. They continue looping around until they have completed all 24 stations.
