I created this product to teach my students how to give a good compliment, and to spread the love in my classroom on Valentine's Day. This is just a mode of getting your students to give good compliments to their peers.
You can use this year-round, and it's a great keepsake! I used this by first giving a minilesson on compliments and how to give a good compliment. Then, we each went around the room and gave compliments to each other on their compli-mats using the SCOOT method. Once we were finished, I let my students decorate them and color them. Once you are done, I encourage laminating them before sending them home, if you have the means. The compli-mat builds confidence and joy in the students, and gives them practice on giving compliments!
