Are you looking for something special to give your students this holiday season? A compliment card is something that will show your students just how amazing they are!
This great FREE resource includes teacher directions on how to use and 5 different "compliment card" templates.
Here is how they work!
1. Assign each student in the class a number.
2. On a sheet of paper, each student will write one thoughtful compliment about each student in their class. Students will write the compliment next to the students' numbers. (Make sure you discuss what a thoughtful compliment looks like).
3. Collect the compliments and compile them onto the templates. The template has a place for you to type the student's name and 10 comments/compliments from their peers. (I only left space for 10 because many compliments are repeated. You can easily add more if you need to.)
4. Each student will receive a piece of decorative holiday paper with their name and lots of nice compliments about them.
No matter what age you teach, every student loves hearing how great they are! I have had students come back to me years later and mention how much they loved getting their compliment cards!
I hope you and your students enjoy this holiday activity.
