Teach your students the power of giving compliments with this bright, cheerful set.
Each year, my students work on compliments all year long. I set up a corner of my room with the compliments posters and copies of the post cards, along with a bin (with bin label, included) to put the completed post cards in. Once a week, I pass out post cards to students. I love to see their smiles as they realize that they have been recognized for their achievements and good behavior. It really builds a sense of community in our room. Each week, I also fill out a post card for each student to recognize the good they have done.
Works for all grades - K through 6th.
This is also a great activity for February in celebration of Valentine's Day (if your school does not participate in V. Day festivities). It's a great way to make everyone feel special and spread good cheer without being specific to Valentine's Day.
This set includes:
- 5 compliments posters
-1 poster in black and white for copying
-1 bin label to place on your bin or box for receiving completed post cards
-4 pages (each containing 2 post cards) of post cards in black and white for cost-effective copying
I hope that your students love this activity as much as mine have. Please leave me feedback to let me know how it went in your room.
