Goal:
To help students understand fractional parts. Students will compose and decompose fractions as a sum of fractional parts.

Teacher Preparation:
Whole Group: Print the student sheet on regular paper
Math Center: Print the student sheet on cardstock and laminate.

Directions:
Student will partition the area models to represent the
fractional sum of parts.

3.3D compose and decompose a fraction a/b with a numerator greater than zero and less than or equal to b as a sum of parts 1/b
