Gingerbread Matching Game
Decomposing numbers 11-20
CCSS.Math.Content.K.NBT.A.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 20 into ten and ones
How to play:
Print, Laminate, and cut out cards
Give a child a game board, place all of the gingerbread men or candy cards into a hat, bag, cup or container of your choice.
Have the student pick a gingerbread man out of the container and place it on the matching game board piece. If they pick a blank gingerbread or candy from the hat they have to put all of their pieces back into the bag and start over.
Game 2: Matching Game: Cut out ALL of the pieces and have the children play a matching game
when they find a pair they keep it.
We use this for small group, and centers
Any of the pages can be used as game boards. You can decide if you want your students to play a game board in sequential order or in a mixed up order to differentiate instruction.
Our RtI kids really need this kind of simple fun game activity to
understand the concept.
