Wizard Matching Game
Composing and Decomposing numbers 0-10
CCSS.Math.Content.K.NBT.A.1 Compose and decompose numbers from 0 to 10
How to play:
Print, Laminate, and cut out frogs
Give a child a game board, place all of the frogs into a hat, bag, cup or container of your choice.
Have the student pick a frog out of the container and place it on the correct wizard. If they pick a blank wizard or frog they have to put all of the pieces back into the container and start over .
Game 2: Matching Game: Cut out ALL of the pieces and have the children play a matching game, when they find a pair they keep it. If they pick the blank wizard or frog they have to give all of their matches to another player.
We use this for small group, and centers
Make multiple copies and play a group games with it.
We have include a game board with the numbers in order and one with them mixed up to differentiate the game.
Send home as game homework.
Our RtI kids really need this kind of simple fun game activity to understand the concept.
