This is a great way to review the names of the lines and spaces, learn about scales and octaves, introduce bass clef, and motivate upper elementary students, as they use their own phone numbers to write music!
This product includes 2 worksheets (one for treble, one for bass) and a 7 page powerpoint presentation.
-Review/learn the names of the lines and spaces of the treble and bass clefs with helpful tricks and tips. (Use of the bass clef is optional).
-Build a scale in the treble and/or bass clef to use as their "code."
-Write their phone number on the staff, using the code to translate numbers into notes.
-Play their telephone numbers on an Orff instrument or keyboard.
Note: If students do not want to use their phone numbers, they can use an alternate phone number, or make one up! My students loved putting their friends' numbers, grandparents' numbers, and cell phone numbers to music!
