These mats are a fun way for students to practice composing and decomposing numbers. You can use them as lesson materials or as an independent math center. We have used a range of manipulatives to make two groups--counting cubes, teddy bear counters and their favorite, marshmallows! To make them reusable, place them inside of a sheet protector and record with a dry-erase marker. We are lucky enough to have ipads at our school! I have uploaded a picture of the mats for students access and use. Enjoy!
