Product Description
Are you looking to incorporate more Environmental Education in your classroom? Keep your own living ecosystem in the classroom!

Composting is a surprisingly great start! And there's NO SMELL!

The curriculum expectations that can be linked are endless! Think: Responsibility, Respect, Self-Regulation, Stewardship, Science (Soil, Cycles, Societies, Waste), Experiments (temperatures, comparaisons), Social Studies (Community, Sustainability, Earth) + more! Great addition to Science centers, let students explore!

All you need is a large rubbermaid bin, newspaper, worms, and organic waste! (Worms can usually easily be found through garden centers or online sharing networks).

Students can see how wrappers and waste cannot be reused in our natural cycles and how soil is made. Kids love getting involved in this project!

Also included is an amazing, kid-friendly 12 page "How-to guide for the novice Vermiculturist" from Shedd's Aquarium including a "Worm Care Log."
