This packet of mentor sentences focuses on everything you need to include in your conjunctions unit, and it is aligned to Common Core Language standards. Each sentence featured in this product is from a well known children's literature text. There sentences vary in level of difficulty so that you can differentiate for you students' needs.
Each page has one sentence followed by tasks relating to the sentence for each day of week. The tasks focus on a spiral review of language skills and concepts. These are great for interactive notebooks or quiz grades.
Monday- Label the parts of speech & discuss conjunction concept
Tuesday- Find the subject and predicate
Wednesday- Analyze the different types of punctuation used in the sentence
Thursday- Classify the sentence as simple, compound, complex & declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative
Friday- Write your own sentence using the structure of the mentor sentence.
