This card sort activity provides students with practice in identifying when inequalities are compound "and's," compound "or's" or just regular inequalities. Students gain additional practice in solving, graphing, and writing the solution set for each of the three types of inequalities. For further review, examples are included where sign flipping is necessary. This is a fantastic review activity to use after teaching compound inequalities--not only does it review the compound inequalities, but it takes students back to the simple inequalities that they likely learned earlier in the unit (isn't it funny how students can sometimes forget the "easy" stuff after learning the more complicated material?).
Students will be asked to solve and graph the solution sets to 6 inequalities (2 and's, 2 or's, and 2 regular inequalities).
Use this during class as part of a lesson, as an enrichment or review activity, or as a fun way to spice up your homework assignments! This product has many uses, and is offered in 2 sizes: full-sheet and interactive notebook sized
to fit the needs of your classroom.
