This excellent worksheet teaches students about what compound interest is, components to the formula, time frames, pre-requisites to solve the problems, examples, and then 2 problems for students to try. Students are then given instructions on using a compound interest calculator found on the webmath website. Students will use the online calculator to solve 2 problems.
This is a great activity for students to do in a Personal Finance or Business/Consumer Math course, etc. It is quick and easy and great for a mini lesson on compound interest.
