This fun activity builds understanding of compound sentences by allowing students to build creative and very amusing compound sentences. Includes mix-and-match wacky independent clauses and coordinating conjunctions+independent clauses such as "The very important puppy placed his paw on the stone"; "A young man with a goat answered all her questions"; "and he told her a story about magic llamas"; and "but he didn’t want a basketball with legs." Requires students to use correct punctuation. Fun and useful!
