This product focuses on compound subjects and compound predicates.
In the first activity, students are asked to tell if the sentence includes a compound subject or a compound predicate. Then they are asked to identify them in the sentence.
In the second activity, students are to use the compound subjects or compound predicates in a well developed sentence.
An answer key and student recording sheet is included for the identifying activity. The answers for the sentence writing activity will vary.
I suggest printing the student direction page in color (It does look fine printed in grayscale.), laminating it and attaching it to the front of a 9x12 envelope. Print both sets of cards on color cardstock, laminate, and cut for student use. Place the cards in sandwich size Ziploc bags and keep them and the recording sheets inside the brown envelopes.
