Need a fun way to teach your class about compound words? My kids loved that these are shaped like candy. I created 120 half pieces of "candy" that make up 60 compound words when matched together. Kids have a physical and visual way of understanding the concept, and you can even integrate vocabulary into the lesson! Download the free demo as a sample!
Some suggestions for use:
- Give each student a card and have them find their “partner”
- Have available at a center and have students copy their list of compound words
- Play memory or go fish
- Put students into teams and see which team can make the most words in a minute (or 3, 5 etc)
The 60 words included are:
