Have fun teaching compound word with this fun sorting/matching game. Three different sets of cards - Apples, Suns and Hearts. All cards have a different compound word on them. Hearts are easiest, Suns are medium and Apples are more difficult. Teacher should print and then cut the card in half (ex: baseball ---> base ball). Mix up the cut cards and see if students can match correctly to create compound words. Create for groups, rotations and even self-directed fun when students fly through an assignment unexpectedly! You could even make it a group game :) See who can make the most compound words with ALL shapes mixed together!?
*Make sure to laminate so that they last you FOREVER!*
Enjoy! Please let me know if you'd be interested in a synonym/antonym game like this. I was thinking about it but am unsure! Rate and leave comments :)
