Played like the children’s game Memory, this game gives good practice at forming 22 different compound words. Print, laminate, and cut the cards. Lay them out face down on the table. Students take turns turning over two cards to see if they match. If the cards form a compound word, the student keeps the pair and goes again. If the cards do not form a compound word they are turned back over and the next student takes a turn. The winner is the student with the most matched pairs.
