Unapologetically I believe in the importance of play in the classroom. Our young students learn best through exciting, hands-on experiences. So, when possible, I love intentionally crafting play and wonder into our day. Compound Construction is one of those fun, hands-on, best-day-ever kind of days. It is play-based, rigorous, and keeps my crew of 1st grader workers begging for more.
In this resource I have included EVERYTHING you’ll need to make Compound Construction an awesome day of hands-on learning. It is a zipped file because there are so many different file types included.
In this Zip File, you will find…
- A PDF of directions, shopping lists, student materials, and pictures of each construction site (with teacher-to-teacher tips)
- 2 MP3 Files to introduce and wrap-up your day of learning
- Microsoft Word file of compound words ready to print on Avery labels (5160).
