*Includes a Zonk! page where they have to perform a silly task before they can play again*
To play kinesthetic compound word game, simply print one copy of the word doc, have students crumble the pages into 'snowballs', then toss them over an imaginary volleyball net, stop, pick up a snowball, then find the person with the matching 'snowball'.
For example: if your snowball has 'Pepper' you want to find someone else who has 'mint' so you can complete the word 'Peppermint' together.
After finding a match have them sort themselves into groups somehow to check comprehension. They could group by number of syllables, etc.
You can print 1 page per student so matches are guaranteed or print extras and let them scramble to find a match before time runs out.
The game lasts for about 15-20 minutes and students can arrange in 4 corners so you can ask them questions about their words, come up with sentences using their completed words, etc.
