These digital task cards covering compound words are ideal for literacy centers or other station work. With these digital task cards, students will be solving fun compound word equations. I've also included a bonus set with the compound words from the images on it for differentiating instruction. Additionally, this compound words resource is no prep and ready to use! No laminating, no cutting, even no printing! This resource was created for use in Google Slides.
This is set two of the compound word digital task cards.
Did I also mention it can be used on tablets? Say what? Yup, you can use this on a tablet, computer, or you can even project them with a SMARTboard! In fact, this actual set, you could just use a projector and whiteboard, so no SMARTboard needed! Simply let the students use a dry erase marker on the board if you don't have access to a Smartboard.
Not only that, but this resource stands out from simple apps on tablets because it automatically saves their work. That means you have access to assess their work!

What I LOVE about Google Apps When It Came to Creating This Resource for Compound Words:
•Their work saves automatically!
•Because their work saves automatically, its super easy to check their work (and not bring home a heavy bag full of paper clutter!)
•Kids love using technology. It's engaging!
•It can be used on a tablet too!
•It saves on ink costs!
There are some technical requirements to use this resource for compound words. First off, this resource is in Google Slides format, so you will need to access to that software to use this resource. That resource is part of their Google Drive apps, which is free. Additionally, I highly recommend you have student accounts by using Classroom by Google. If you don't have Classroom by Google, please get with your tech department to set this up before purchasing this resource. Yes, they do offer it free to non-profit educational institutions, but there are some hoops to get through. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS RESOURCE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE GOOGLE CLASSROOM SET-UP ALREADY. You will also need internet access to use this resource for compound words.
With that said, you can use this resource with Google Drive, however, Classroom allows you to assign students the activity and makes it so much more simple to use! There are also age restrictions with setting up a Google Drive account, but that is not an issue with Google Classroom. Please note, I provided a blogpost here with links for getting started with Classroom by Google. However, I still recommend you seek help from your tech department. Get to blog post here.
***For Interactive Whiteboard/ Smartboard use: To use any dragging/dropping features, your interactive whiteboard will need the feature that performs mouse functions with touch in programs outside of their software. Basically, the touch feature takes the place of how you would use a mouse in other applications such as Google Slides, surfing the internet, etc. If using. This feature that allows the computer to use touch on the screen to function like a mouse may sometimes only work in the software of whatever brand interactive whiteboard you are using, so make sure you can use that feature in other applications before purchase if you plan to use this resource on an interactive whiteboard.***
Please note, this resource for compound words is for personal, classroom use only. Also, I am not affiliated or associated with Google, nor do they endorse this resource. This resource for compound words is simply a resource that can be used with their software/apps.
Thank you so much for stopping by the Candy Class!
