Playing the Game: Give each student 2-3 of the printed pages to crumble into individual snowballs. Following the rules described below, the students will have a blast throwing snowballs at their friends for one minute. After the snowball fight, each student will get one snowball and go back to their starting position (their seat). One at a time, each student will open their snowball and read the compound word on their snowball. After everyone has read the word on their snowball, it is time for another snowball fight. The snowballs will last though several rounds of play.
SNOWBALL FIGHT RULES: This package includes a snowball fight rules poster. I use two rules when playing this game. 1. Always Walk 2. Aim below the Shoulders. Tell students the consequence if a rule is broken such as: They will sit out the next round or the rest of the game. During this game students are moving and a little noisy, but they LOVE it!!
