Compound Words: Match Mittens and Bonus Spring Themed Version
This is a center to help students practice putting two parts of compound words together. You can see from the preview how to match up the words. There is a bright colorful picture on the hat, and the students match the beginning part of the word which is on the left mitten to the ending part of the word which is on the right mitten. This is best played in a pocket chart.
On February, 21, 2015 I added a Spring themed version of the activity as a bonus.
The center contains:
WINTER MITTENS VERSION:
12 sets of pictures (12 hats) and 12 sets of words (24 mittens)
2 Recording Sheets (one with handwriting lines, one without)
BONUS SPRING THEMED VERSION:
12 sets of pictures (12 birdhouses) and 12 sets of words (24 birds)
2 Recording Sheets (one page with handwriting lines, the other without)
Thank you for stopping by and looking.
