Probability can be a difficult concept. This unit breaks apart the major concepts into chunks that are easy to understand for the students. 100% recommend this for reviewing basic statistics concepts including conditional and compound probabilities and giving students multiple opportunities to see and use Venn Diagrams and Two Way tables. Due to time I did not use all the activities included in the bundle, but I did use the Scavenger Hunt. I loved that my students were doing all the work - asking me questions when necessary.

My students got done with their book early and I needed a complete unit of something - this was great, and I'm so glad it was available for me to print off and throw together to keep them working and learning!

Describe events as subsets of a sample space (the set of outcomes) using characteristics (or categories) of the outcomes, or as unions, intersections, or complements of other events (“or,” “and,” “not”).
Understand that two events 𝘈 and 𝘉 are independent if the probability of 𝘈 and 𝘉 occurring together is the product of their probabilities, and use this characterization to determine if they are independent.
Understand the conditional probability of 𝘈 given 𝘉 as 𝘗(𝘈 and 𝘉)/𝘗(𝘉), and interpret independence of 𝘈 and 𝘉 as saying that the conditional probability of 𝘈 given 𝘉 is the same as the probability of 𝘈, and the conditional probability of 𝘉 given 𝘈 is the same as the probability of 𝘉.
