In this product, there are 32 compound inequalities task cards. I strongly recommend laminating the printed pages before cutting them out first, so they can be used time and again. An answer sheet is provided at the end of the task cards.
I normally try to play a game with the task cards I make, awarding a point for certain criteria in the answers that the students get for the random questions they complete.
The cards can be placed in a box.
The students must pick a card from the box, solve it, confirm with the teacher that their answer is correct and then replace it. They must do this for a total of 10 cards (or 5 or 8, whatever the teacher wishes to choose).
A point can be rewarded for certain criteria in each question they answer, and the total points of all 8 questions added up. It is completely up to the teacher what to choose, but here are some things below that a point can be rewarded for.
If the answer they find:
· Has a 1 in it (or any digit you choose).
· Is an odd number.
· Is an even number.
· Is a prime number.
I hope you find this product very useful and it helps your students learn as it has done mine, as well as lowering your workload.
