Product Description
This activity assesses students' ability to identify, and create their own compound and complex sentences, all while students practice finding examples of complex and compound sentences in real literature.

This is a great activity to use during reading workshop, or in literacy centers, teacher-led stations, or as an independent assessment.

My lower students enjoyed the sorting activity, while my higher students enjoyed creating their own sentences afterwards. This simple print-and-go activity will help you assess your students' understanding in no time!

I hope this activity is as helpful to you, as it was in my own classroom.

Happy Teaching!
