This is a game that tests students' comprehension of a text. It is ideal for students who are reading chapter books to assess their understanding after each chapter. However, it could be used for short stories or other short readings. A student rolls a 6-sided die and goes to a certain point on the board. Each number on the board corresponds with a comprehension question on the attached sheet. The star means that the child may roll again and take another turn. An arrow means they must go back two spaces. A question mark means the teacher will read a comprehension question that is specific to the material that the student read. A "P" means the student can pick their own question to answer. This game is idea for students who are reading a book together. It would be best for a small group of 2 to 5 students. It can be played with only on student. but usual that student wishes for another to play with or else there is no point in winning!
