These comprehension bookmarks will allow your students to experience a piece of text with a specific focus. Students will write/draw the ideas they have while practicing their reading. They will make connections as they read to themselves, another piece of text, real world events, etc. Students will also visualize as they are reading - choosing the setting or characters, as an example. Finally, students will write their understanding about the main problem or conflict in the text.
This document is meant to be printed - then copied so the teacher has a stack of copies. Cut the bookmarks in half down the middle - and then you have a set that are ready to go whenever you need them. This can easily be used with various pieces of text throughout the year. Having these ready to go will make it easy for the teacher to provide his/her students to focus on what they are reading.
** If you like this one - check out the other ones I have to have a variety! I will be adding even more soon!
** The preview snapshots only show one side of the bookmark and just a couple sections of what your students will do.
