These 4 bookmarks are ideal for indpendent work during centers or guided reading. Students are asked to read a book from their book box (or any book) and create the bookmark with information from the story. There is a bookmark for making connections (text-to-self and text-to-text), schema (before and after reading), beginning/middle/end, and character/setting. Students are asked to fill out the bookmark after reading a story, cut it out, and illustrate on the back. What a great, fun way for students to share what they read and practice important comprehension strategies.
