I have written a post on how I use
Exit Tickets in the Classroom
Exit tickets are a great formative assessment. They are a quick way to determine if students get the concept that you have taught or if they need to spend more time on the concept. You can use them in small group , at a related literacy center, or the entire class can do them after a whole group lesson.
There are 9 different Comprehension Exit Tickets that can be used with ANY BOOK all year long. You can use them in small group or whole group. Each ticket ask for 2-3 comprehension details because Exit Tickets should still be fast. Lower Kindergarten students can simply draw a picture.Higher Kindergarten and First Grade Students can write in the box. There are also 3 data sheets to keep track of who is getting ti and who needs more time.
