⬟ For each story, students must:
- Read the short passage three times for fluency and comprehension.
- Locate information within the text (grammar and reading skills).
- Answer open-ended questions about what they read, requiring them to go back into the text to find their answers.
- Draw a picture based on what they read (an extra comprehension question in disguise).
⬟ Centers: Laminate the passages for durability and reusability
⬟ Homework: Give your students rigorous and engaging work and save on copies (and ink)!
⬟ Guided reading: Short passages with engaging comprehension skills make them great to use during small groups when time is limited.
