Description
Finding hands-on projects for reading comprehension isn't easy, but these paper bag books for comprehension skills fit the bill! You name the reading skill, and there is likely a project for it within this bundle. Customers have called this bundle "COMPREHENSIVE AND WELL PUT TOGETHER", and students call them fun! They are perfect for modeling and notetaking, guided practice, test prep and review, and just for giving kids something new and different.
HOW THESE COMPREHENSION PROJECTS WILL HELP YOUR STUDENTS:
With each book, there are modeling and guided practice options for small group instruction. You can see how they are organized in the preview provided. The preview shows you the SIXTEEN projects that are included. They can be used with whole group for review, strategy groups, as intervention support, as a pair/share activity, or individually in work stations. Additionally, you can use parts of the projects within interactive notebooks if you choose. They are perfect for practice or remediation as well as for fun test prep as you approach your state's end of the year testing.
HOW TO MAKE THE BOOKS:
For each book, you will need 2-3 paper lunch bags per student, a hole puncher, and ribbon or a stapler for binding as well as a copy of the printables for each student. This bundle began as a growing bundle, but is now complete with *15* books in all! I suggest completing the printable part BEFORE gluing it onto the book page. If you do not have paper lunch bags, you can also use construction paper cut to size.
