PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Here are some higher level thinking skills questions that I developed for my lower level 4th/ 5th grade readers who wanted to read Dolphins at Daybreak from the Magic Tree House Series (Lexile 350). It makes for excellent comprehension practice using a variety of strategies while still being accessible to lower readers.

Each question is numbered based on the chapter that the question comes from. For example, question 2 comes from chapter 2, question 4/5 comes from chapters 4 and 5 combined.

This document is for use in public classrooms or homeschool classrooms to get students thinking more deeply about the books that they are reading. Analysis of texts, characters, and language are extraordinarily important, and the rigor at which we provide our instruction must match the high expectations we all have for our students. My high interest- low readability students especially loved this book!
