These comprehension questions cover part of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. They are meant to follow the reading of Chapters 4,5, and 6. You can assign this as homework, and then use the completed worksheets in a follow-up class discussion. Or, you could use this as a small group assignment which will also make for a nice smaller group discussion about the text. Each response should be a few sentences to a paragraph. The questions include surface details that check for simple comprehensions, but there are also questions that include higher-level analytical thinking. A brief answer key is included, but of course the answers may vary.
