These comprehension strategy posters focus on the 9 reading comprehension strategies for informational or nonfiction texts:
• Asking Questions
• Determining Importance
• Making Connections
• Monitoring Comprehension
Students can use these posters to demonstrate their understanding of the comprehension strategies with independent reading books, guided reading, shared reading texts, or during read alouds.
Posters are in black and white and are easy to reproduce. Students are expected to add visual appeal to the posters by adding color and creativity.
Using the comprehension strategies satisfies common core standards for Reading: Informative Text.
A rubric is also included for summative or formative assessment.
Completed posters will make a fabulous bulletin board display that both students and teachers will be proud of!
