One of the unique things about teaching orchestra is that you create your own curriculum. This is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because you can tailor your lessons and assessments to your teaching style and your program needs. A curse because it takes A LOT of time to develop.
That is why I am sharing my Beginning Orchestra curriculum with you! Of course, we perform separate repertoire at concerts, but I structure the flow of the year around getting through String Basics Book 1, so my musicians are ready for Book 2 the following year.
