Students are given several word problems, some of which are multi-step. Problems involve division and multiplication, as well as estimation of sums and differences.

When I did this with my students, I used it as a Gallery Walk. I split my students into 4 groups. I taped the problems up around the classroom, and students worked together in groups, going from one card to the next to solve the problems. One group leader was chosen from each group and given the activity log to write the answers, but all students took their notebooks with them and worked out the problems.
This could also be used as a scoot.
