I created this Computer Class Digital Portfolio Lesson based on the fact that other subjects were using portfolios for comprehension. After every computer class or technology class lesson, students would create a slide or document with information about the assignment and comment or review what they learned and/or what they would have like to learn.
Students can use either PowerPoint, Word, or even Photoshop to complete the portfolio.
I stated that the first part of the lesson would take approximately 45 minutes, however, after students get used to uploading/creating slides or pictures for their portfolios, the lesson should only take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
Portfolios are assessed quarterly, or by semester.
Each lesson learned in class can be added to the portfolio with student reviews/comments (good and bad) --excellent for teacher's to review their own teaching techniques/lessons.
Each year, the portfolio can build on the previous year.
