This is a 13-slide PowerPoint presentation that introduces basic internal hardware computer terms, such as megahertz, motherboard, and power supply unit. I use this PowerPoint with my computer applications students during the first couple weeks of class, but it would work in any class in which you're introducing computer terminology. The PowerPoint also includes three slides that discuss computer care.
Included with the PowerPoint are Word documents that contains an outline of the presentation with blanks for students to fill in as you as present and an assignment that requires students to write an analogy comparing the computer to something else.
**I also have this product listed along with my computer basics unit that also includes a PowerPoint, notes, and an activity. Listed with the two lessons is a test for the unit with an answer key. The whole unit takes one to two weeks to cover, depending on how long your class periods are and how much class time you give to complete assignments.**
