This is a 4-page worksheet that follows with an interactive organic molecules website/virtual lab. Students will use virtual reagents to test for carbohydrates, proteins, and fats and be able to identify the difference between positive and negative reactions. The website will be provided with download. Students should have prior knowledge and basic understanding of organic molecules. Internet access is required to complete this activity.
A student handout of "Helpful Hints" is also included. This handout lists the molecules being tested in this virtual lab along with their reagents. The students find the handout, well, helpful! :)
Approximate time needed to complete this activity: 35-50 minutes
