This is a full course in Computational concepts featuring several activities, each with step by step instruction, as well as advanced challenging tasks to take pupils learning above and beyond, keeping more advanced students on task.
Each task comes with a completed exemplar for teachers, which can be used for error checking.
They also come with sample pupil files, which will speed up development time for pupils, giving them more time to focus on the computational and problem solving element of the courses, rather than taking time to create interfaces.
The booklet contains 12 individual tasks, each of which has several smaller parts, which would take a lot more than 12 lessons to complete (based on my curriculum of a 50 minute period) The advanced tasks and challenge tasks would give even more additional time over to devote to learning.
Included activities are
User Defined and Pre-Defined Functions
File Reading and Writing
Algorithms, such as Find Max/Min, Linear Search, Count Occurrences
Project Based Learning Tasks
The language used is Visual Studio 2012, featuring full colour code excerpts and screen shots and could easily be used to convert to the language of your choice.
This resource would also be useful to any teacher wanting to undertake CPD to develop their own Software Development skills.
With the purchase of this item, I will also add you to the community dropbox folder, which I will be continuing to add additional activities and tasks to, as they are completed
