Concentration is a great game to play with the whole class or to let the students play individually or in pairs for review. Students click a box which takes them to a question. The following slide gives them the answer so they can make sure they did it correctly. Then they click an arrow to take them back to the beginning where that box will have disappeared. There is a fun riddle underneath! The first group/pair/student to figure out the riddle is the winner!
Topics covered include: order of operations, types of numbers (real, rational, irrational, integer, whole, natural), graphing numbers on a number line, translating from sentences to mathematical expressions, checking values to see if they are solution to equations or inequalities
Our school is one-to-one, so I love giving the students this game on a review day. They can work at their own pace. I also post it to my website so they can use it to study outside of class.
