This product contains labels I use to help students identify major features in text. For the lesson prep, I photocopy parts of a familiar story (cover, title page, etc.). During the lesson, I have students use the labels to point to the major features of the book. We assemble a graphic organizer on a poster (or on the class whiteboard) with the photo copies and the labels. Later, the students can use the information as a reference. This makes a great hands-on lesson for students that graphically illustrates the different features of text. Look on my TPT store for more literacy ideas!
