Product Description
2nd graders struggle with coins, why is a dime the smallest but worth more than a penny and nickle, how come that guy on the nickle looks like the guy on the quarter, why is a penny colored that way, is George Washington wearing any cloths? This activity wont answer many of those questions but it will provide students with a decimal value based on a concept they understand; the hundreds board, or in this case the dollar board. Make several copies on colored paper, cut them out and have students collect, add and subtract change using the manipulatives.
