After reading Mathematical Mindsets by Jo Boaler and Carol Dweck, I was inspired to help them innovate the way kids learn math. The traditional style of learning mathematics was through procedures, and drill and practice. Today, educators, researchers, authors, and many more are working to revolutionize the way the world learns math - by conceptualizing and genuinely understanding what they are learning.
This innovative way of having kids learn their multiplication facts through conceptualizing and visualizing is one of the many ways we can implement meaningful learning in our classrooms and break away from traditional learning. It is time to toss those multiplication key rings and flashcards! Use these as a center or a take home item for your kiddos.
Print them on card stock and laminate to keep forever! Stay connected to see what other add-ons I will be contributing to this file as there are SO many ways to represent multiplication in the world.
