Conscious Discipline teaches that breathing helps to calm one down and help to access brilliance. Breathing helps to self-regulate yourself. The four main breaths are star, drain, balloon, and pretzel. If you are like me, you like to use real pictures in your classroom! I printed my breathing strategies on a tan piece of paper and hung mine in a frame for display for students. You can use them however works best for you! These can even be cut apart!
