Figuring out how to write a good concluding sentence is tough! Using the cooperative learning structure of Think Write RoundRobin, young elementary students get practice writing 3 different types of concluding sentences. If you are unfamiliar with Think Write RoundRobin, this lesson can easily be adapted for a different cooperative learning strategy, or simply used for small group or independent practice.
Included in this lesson:
* Writing prompt, t-chart planner and written paragraph with missing concluding sentence (color-coded and in black and white).
* Two different student pages (Page 3 is for students who are more independent, and Page 4 is for students who need the support of a sentence starter).
* Extra student pages for you to adapt in case you use different types of concluding sentences, or want to do this activity with your own paragraph.
