What's that liquid that forms on the outside of a cold glass?
With this printable, reproducible lab, students can figure it out for themselves!
This lab walks students through creating condensation and disproving the commonly held idea that condensation occurs because of a “leaky glass.” With proper explanation, students can discover for themselves that the liquid that forms on the outside of the glass is actually water from the air.
Students will be able to explain the process by which condensation forms on the outside of a cold glass/cup.
