This is a powerpoint activity where the students are up and moving. I spend about 10-15 minutes the day before using this powerpoint activity, to teach the conditional. We talk about how it is formed and when it is used.
The next day, I have the room open for the students to move freely from one side of the room to the other side of the room. I place a line of masking tape on each side, about 5 feet away from the wall, so the students are sure to be on one side or the other.
I explain that they will be faced with deciding what they would like better of the two choices, and then walking to the side of their choice. The first choice is the left side of the classroom and the second is the right side of the classroom.
This is really fun for the kids to see how each other thinks and they are moving while listening to the target language.
